Now Andy, he works hard for his money
He doesn't make a lot.
So when he dropped that sawbuck down into the sewer

He tried for fifteen minutes to pick it up with a stick
The thought of losing ten bucks nearly made him sick

Billy delivers newspapers every day after school,

Fifteen minutes later Andy happened by the scene.

Andy got home last night and told his wife what had happened.

Billy got to his girl's and he told her what had happened
And she threw her arms around his neck.

Not one of them know what a terrible shock it
Could have been if Andy still had that ten dollars in his pocket.
