The Fox Valley Blues Society (a non-profit organization established to
promote and
preserve blues music), as well as other sponsors, will host a plaque dedication
and music
festival in the honor of Sonny Boy Williamson (John Lee) which will be
held at Aurora's historical Stolp Island. The event will
be held June 13-14, 1997, from 1:00p.m. to 11:00p.m. The
festival will be to commemorate the first recording of Sonny Boy Williamson,
"Good Morning, School Girl," which was recorded May 5, 1937.
Admission will be $5.00 for the day rain or shine. Admission if FREE!!!
